Task Linking Rules Dialog
Used to automate the association of graphic elements to schedule tasks through rules. Creates, edits, and processes the task linking rules.
The Task Linking Rules dialog opens automatically after a schedule is imported or updated successfully. This dialog does not open if the schedule import is unsuccessful.
The Automatic task linking topic shows an example of an automatic linking setup.
Setting | Description |
---|---|
New | Opens the Rules Template dialog, which allows you to select a template to be used to create new linking rules. |
Duplicate | Makes a copy of the selected rule and adds it to the list. |
Delete | Deletes the selected rule from the list. |
Up | Moves the rule up in the hierarchy list. |
Down | Moves the rule down in the hierarchy list. |
Rules list box | Turns on or off the rule(s) that you want to apply to the current schedule import. Rules are applied in the order shown. Unchecked rules are not applied. |
Rule Description | Displays the details of the rule selected in the Rules list box. Some rules have values that you can edit to change behavior. The values that you can change appear in blue underlined text. You can edit the rule by clicking the underlined value. Select a new value from the dialog that opens. The dialog varies according to the value that you want to change. |
Process | Processes the linking operation of linking the rules to the tasks. . This button is inactive if the operation cannot be processed and a tooltip displays the reason why the linking operation cannot be processed. |
